Many people believe that they know how to play Keno but unless you have played it before you may not know all there is to it. When playing keno at the online casino you must locate the Keno booth, in a large casino there will be a few located throughout the casino or you can find them on online poker sites. Pick up your tickets here, once you have chosen your numbers you will get a receipt that will display the numbers that you have chosen. Make sure you hold onto that receipt because if you win then you will need to present the ticket to the cash out booth.

On a Keno card there are 80 numbers on it, you can choose up to 15 numbers, circle the numbers you wish and then you return the card to the booth and the clerk in the booth will then record your numbers into the machine and then they will issue a receipt. Located inside the casino usually in the back you will see a nig board that shows the winning numbers from the last game, this is where you will wait to see if you have won.

The board will show all 80 numbers and as the winning numbers are shown they will appear in a box, separating the chosen numbers with the rest of the nu8mber on the board. The numbers are picked from what is called a Keno Goose. There used to be a time when there were people who would choose the numbers but the gaming people thought a machine would be able to better choose random numbers. With a machine choosing the numbers, you can set your watch to the 5 minutes between games that another game will change.

Like a Lottery card as the numbers are chosen you can mark off the winning numbers off of your card. Once your numbers have come up or not, if you are a winner you must get to the Keno booth before the next game starts. If you want in on the next game the same applies. Because of the 5 minute rule, casinos allow you to purchase up to 20 games of Keno. Once the 20 games are done, if you aren’t sure if you won, you can take your ticket to the Keno booth and have the cashier check it for you.

Some casinos allow more play; these types of games are called stray and play. The ticket does not have to be redeemed at that moment; these tickets are good for up to a year. If you play in Vegas then that is where you would have to return there to check the ticket. The payouts vary at each casino. If you have chosen 5 numbers then you would need 3 rights to win something, 4 and 5 numbers have a better payout. Check with the keno Cashier to see what the payouts are.
